Bahamian Cruise

My parents are so awesome that they took us on a Cruise for Thanksgiving! It was truly beautiful to see God's creation, both of nature and of humans. All the wonderful experiences made the feeling of gratitude abundant in our hearts. I truly feel grateful to have such great parents, such an awesome brother and an amazing future sister in law! Couldn't have asked for a better group to be with.

Above is a picture of our ship from a ferry ride, to a private island called Great Stirrup Cay.

All five of us.

A party on the beach at Great Stirrup Cay.

This was a fun shot to take on our last day, the camera is being balanced on my suitcase on top of the bed. This was outside of our "Stateroom" Balcony. The lingo on the ship was so much fun to learn.
Was a wonderful week full of adventures!

dior on my feet

This past week, I've driven to Miami with my family (and future family member), and gone on an amazing cruise to the Bahamas (pics to follow). On our drive we stopped in Orlando on Black Friday, at an amazing outlet mall. At the Neiman's last call, Rachel was helping me find the perfect pair of shoes to get on a bargain, and I couldn't resist relishing these beauties. They were $1020 on sale for $715 with a 40% off.

Here are the ones I ended up getting for a low price of $38 from Seychelles. Thanks to Rachel for all the help in deciding out of all the top designers and to Andrei for doing the photography. And to the P's for an awesome vacation!

A Day on the Farm

These are only a few of the decent shots I took on our lovely field trip today, before my camera quickly ran out of batteries.

Let me tell mention how awesome the people were that we went to visit today. The grandparents of one of our students, invited us to see their animals (peacocks, ponies, puppies, roosters, goats, cows), and their gorgeous land, and gave the kids tractor and hay rides! The grandmother, Betsy teaches elementary special education and they have this amazing apartment that they built on top of their horse stables. Its filled with antiques, a stain glass making room, and yoga/karate room for both of them, and guest room. They have their own garden too! I mean what do these people not do! We had a blast, I only wish I could have had the battery life to better portray the day.

Myles and David ate this up with there little John Deere boots on. And here's Ann Marie the talented gymnast on a high jungle gym. And below is her cute two year old brother that I cannot wait to be in our class next year! Next is Eli, how cute! And then me and my Zoie, who you can't see too well. It was a gorgeous day! Made me thankful for God's beautiful creations and children! A day of light!

My Favorite Bars

I recently had a friend of mine ask me what some of my favorite bars are. Its one of my favorite things to discuss and one of my favorite things to eat. I could live on nutritious bars!

I think this would have to be my number one favorite. I've tried lots and lots of bars. I think this is the most filling. After a Clif bar I feel like I've eaten a meal. Its one of my favorites as a quick breakfast.

Since I don't eat much meat, the protein bar is something I really need. Out of all protein bars on the market I like the Clif because its the most natural and has a lot of protein. I usually consume a bar like this after a hard core workout when I need replenish my muscles. Or if I haven't had meat in three or four days.

This is another good protein bar. I'm a peanut butter lover so this gives me my fix.

This is just a snack bar for me. Can't resist Luna's scrumptious flavors! Like this Chocolate Raspberry and the Peppermint Chocolate.

The Odwalla is also usually an in between meal snack for me. They are filled with fruits and grains. I prefer the fruity flavors and enjoy this bar when I'm low in fresh fruit at the house.

just a few of things that remind me of...

This Christopher Kane dress is only $2500 but its got my name all over it! Love the color scheme, and the geometric quality and layered look!

Recently my best friend, Jenn has told me that she's looking for a black jacket. She's gotten rid of all hers! We've been trying to decide on a particular style that will be the most useful. She being a mother of two small children and doesn't go shopping all that often, its a big decision. She's tall and thin, so I think that she can pull off a longer jacket easily. But this motorcycle jacket is just amazing! Jenn would rock this! And its totally in her price range by Balmain of $12,050!

Ok this 3.1 Phillip Lim totally looks like my co-worker, Lauren. Totally.

Now we can back to the reality of our pockets and wardrobes! I've recently made a deal with myself that I will relinquish thinking about new things to buy, and use my blog as a way of getting it out of my system and not out of my bank account.

vision declared

I have never owned a designer handbag, and I'm now declaring that it is time. I saw this bag in person at the Last Call Neiman's in Dallas a while back. I fell in love with the quality and luxury in every little detail. I also really enjoy its youthful design and royal hue. It is the casual me, not so much the classy me. But since I'm a student and a teacher now, and not a business person, I can get away with such a statement. Also I'm trying to stay below $500, all the classy timeless designer bags (Burberry, Fendi, etc) that I'll never have to buy a handbag again, are about $1000 more. so I figured I'd save those for when I'm a Counselor.

So I'm going with L.A.M.B. Thanks Gwen Stefani for being a talented entertainer and designer.

This is the only image I could get, but click the link for all the info.
